Prepare yourself for a wild adventure in BoozeBattle 2024, where drinks flow like the mighty river and strategy is as essential as remembering your friend’s name (which you might forget after a few rounds). Created by the award-winning one-person team Firelord Quality Games, this game combines the finesse of drinking games with the intellectual rigor of a strategic showdown, all while allowing you to test your arcade skills through unique mini-games. What could go wrong?

Game Overview

In BoozeBattle 2024, you and your opponent (who may or may not be a ZX Spectrum) face off in a battle of wits, endurance, and potentially regrettable life choices. Can you outlast your rival and emerge victorious, or will you be left slumped over your keyboard, wondering where it all went wrong?

• Customizable Names: Want to change your name from "Player" to something cooler? Go ahead! You could be "The Great Drunken One" or "Captain Hangover." Your call!
• Exciting Categories: Test your mettle in various categories like "Stomach Endurance" and "Hangover Severity." Because what’s a drinking game without a hint of self-doubt?
• Drink Selection: Decide what is your beverage of choice! Will it be the fiery tequila or the safe bet of water? The suspense is thrilling!
• 3 Unique Mini-Games: You are near your limits? Win one of the 3 Unique Mini-Games to reduce your stats!
• Never seen before together UDGs: The game features a unique combination of UDGs. These UDGs never seen before in the same game!

Getting Started

1. Launch the Game: Fire up your ZX Spectrum, and let the magic unfold. If you’re not familiar with the ZX Spectrum, don’t worry; neither are we.
2. Name Your Characters: Change your name or stick with the defaults, "Player" and "Spectrum." No pressure; we promise we won’t judge your choices (too much).
3. Choose Your Drink: You have the power to select from a delightful array of drinks. Choose wisely; your stomach may not thank you later!
4. When you start a mini-game, make sure you've read the instructions and the movement keys!

Game Mechanics

• Rounds: The game consists of 6 thrilling rounds. Will you survive all six, or will you tap out early, swearing to never drink again?
• Scoring: Each round, you’ll compete in four categories. Higher scores in these categories will lead you closer to victory. It’s like a drinking Olympics, but without the medals—just the shame!
• Mini games: In each round, the game AI will determine if you need to play a mini-game to reduce your stats. The AI will wisely decide which type of mini-game you must complete!
• Final Showdown: After all rounds, the game will determine who the ultimate BoozeBattle champion is.

Tips for Success

• Stay Hydrated: Drink water between rounds. This isn’t just a strategy; it’s a survival tactic.
• Know Your Limits: Remember, exceeding your tolerance leads to disqualification. Unless you enjoy the idea of your avatar becoming a cautionary tale.
• Practice Your Drinking Skills: In the real world, of course. In the game, you will need practice to understand how each drink affects each category/stat.
• Minigame goals: When you are close to defeat/fainting you will have an option to play a minigames to reduce your stats
• Win streak: You like unlockables? Win the game twice! (this is important for all the fans of CSSCGC 2022 entry :  https://plirof.itch.io/csscgc-barmasifmmiaps )

Common Issues

• The Game Crashes: This could be due to a corrupted tape or simply because the universe doesn’t want you to win. Try again!
• Black out:** When you play in RGO mode then it is a common issue to pass-out or black out.
